TymeLyne policies

Privacy Policy Terms of Use Community Guidelines Beta Program Terms

These Beta Program Terms (“Beta Terms”) apply to TymeLyne version v1.0.0-beta and any later build, feature, service, or release that TymeLyne clearly identifies as beta, preview, experimental, pre-release, or early access (collectively, the “Beta Service”). The Beta Service may include the TymeLyne mobile application, website, features, infrastructure, content, communications, and related services.

These Beta Terms supplement the TymeLyne Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Community and Content Guidelines (together, the “Main Policies”). By downloading, installing, accessing, creating an account for, or using the Beta Service, you agree to these Beta Terms and the Main Policies. If you do not agree, do not download, install, access, or use the Beta Service.

Important beta notice: The Beta Service is a public beta and remains unfinished. It may contain serious defects. Features, accounts, content, settings, or stored information may change, fail, become unavailable, or be deleted. Do not rely on the Beta Service as the only place to keep important material.

1. Relationship with the Main Policies

Capitalized terms not defined in these Beta Terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Use. The Main Policies continue to apply to your account, User Content, conduct, privacy, safety, and use of the Services.

If these Beta Terms conflict with the Main Policies about the Beta Service, these Beta Terms control only for the Beta Service and only to the extent of the conflict. Feature-specific notices or additional written terms may also apply to a particular experimental feature.

2. Eligibility and availability

The Beta Service is intended for public download in selected countries through TymeLyne’s official Apple App Store or Google Play listings. You may use it only where TymeLyne officially makes it available, if you meet the age and legal-consent requirements in the Terms of Use, and if your use is lawful where you live.

  • Public store availability. No invitation, waitlist approval, or private access code is required where the Beta Service is officially listed for public download. Availability may still vary by country, store, device, operating system, age rating, account status, or technical capacity.
  • Accurate information. You must provide truthful account, eligibility, device, and contact information and keep it reasonably current.
  • No guaranteed availability. A visible store listing, successful download, or previous access does not guarantee that the Beta Service, a feature, or a particular build will remain available in your country or on your device.
  • No compensation for ordinary use. Downloading, using, reviewing, or sending voluntary feedback about the public beta does not entitle you to payment and does not create employment, partnership, agency, or another professional relationship.

3. Official installation and account security

  • Use official distribution. Download and update the Beta Service only through TymeLyne’s official Apple App Store or Google Play listing or another distribution method TymeLyne expressly identifies as official.
  • Do not redistribute builds. Do not copy, repackage, modify, sell, rent, sublicense, publish, mirror, or redistribute the application package or an unofficial modified build.
  • Protect your account. Keep your device, password, sign-in credentials, and verification codes secure. Do not permit misleading or unauthorized use of your account.
  • Report compromise. Promptly tell TymeLyne if your account, device, password, sign-in credential, or verification code is lost, exposed, or used without permission.

4. Experimental nature and changing features

The Beta Service is publicly released for real-world use, evaluation, and improvement, but it is not a final or stable release. It may be incomplete, unstable, inaccurate, insecure, slow, or incompatible with some devices or services. It may contain defects that cause crashes, unexpected behavior, battery or data usage, notification errors, content loss, or other harm.

TymeLyne may add, remove, redesign, reset, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any Beta Service feature or release at any time. We may change technical or storage limits, supported devices, availability, audiences, or participation criteria. A beta feature may never become generally available, and a released version may differ materially from the tested version.

We may deploy updates automatically or require you to install an update before continuing. Older builds may stop working without notice. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, operating system, network connection, and any necessary app-store account.

5. Your content, backups, and test data

The ownership and licence provisions in the Terms of Use apply to User Content submitted through the Beta Service. Your audience choices continue to matter, but recipients may still capture or redistribute material they receive.

  • Keep backups. Maintain an independent copy of any content or information important to you. Do not use the Beta Service as your only archive or record.
  • Expect resets or loss. Test accounts, Timeline memories, Daily Updates, drafts, settings, reactions, network relationships, Media Bank items, or other information may be corrupted, migrated, reset, or deleted.
  • Use suitable test material. Do not upload confidential business information, trade secrets, irreplaceable files, highly sensitive personal information, or material you are not authorized to share.
  • Local storage. Material stored locally may be lost if you delete the app, clear app data, change devices, install another build, or experience device or software failure.

6. Responsible testing and prohibited conduct

Use the Beta Service in good faith for ordinary product use and evaluation. The Terms of Use and Community and Content Guidelines apply fully throughout the public beta.

Unless TymeLyne gives prior written authorization, you must not:

  • perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, load testing, denial-of-service testing, automated scraping, credential attacks, or attempts to bypass security, access, age, audience, rate, or moderation controls;
  • access another person’s account, content, communications, device, or data, even if a defect appears to make access possible;
  • exploit a defect for personal benefit, retaliation, surveillance, harassment, fraud, data collection, publicity, or harm;
  • introduce malware, malicious code, fabricated reports, excessive traffic, or content intended to damage or distort the test;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, extract source code, or create derivative works except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits; or
  • misrepresent test results, impersonate TymeLyne, promise access to others, or claim that an experimental feature is final, guaranteed, officially announced for stable release, or endorsed in a way TymeLyne has not stated.

7. Bug reports, security issues, and feedback

We welcome clear and honest feedback about usability, performance, safety, accessibility, crashes, defects, and feature ideas. When possible, include the build version, device and operating-system details, steps to reproduce the issue, expected and actual behavior, and non-sensitive screenshots or recordings.

Do not include another person’s private content, credentials, authentication codes, precise location, financial information, government identifiers, or other unnecessary personal information in a report. If a report requires sensitive evidence, contact TymeLyne first for a safer submission method.

Report suspected security vulnerabilities privately to tymelynesupport@gmail.com. Do not publicly disclose, demonstrate, sell, or exploit a vulnerability before TymeLyne has had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address it. Do not access, copy, alter, retain, or share data beyond what is strictly necessary to describe the issue.

The feedback licence in the Terms of Use applies to suggestions and feedback you provide. TymeLyne may use feedback without restriction or payment, but this does not transfer ownership of your pre-existing content or intellectual property.

8. Public beta status and communications

The v1.0.0-beta release is a public beta. Unless TymeLyne separately marks specific information as confidential and you expressly agree to additional confidentiality terms, your ordinary experience of the publicly released Beta Service is not subject to a general confidentiality obligation.

You may discuss your experience or share screenshots of publicly available features, provided you comply with the Main Policies and do not expose another person’s private content, personal information, authentication details, precise location, or material you do not have the right to share.

Do not publish information that would materially enable exploitation of an unresolved security vulnerability before TymeLyne has had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address it. Do not impersonate TymeLyne, falsely claim to speak for us, or present an experimental feature as a guaranteed final feature.

TymeLyne may separately conduct a closed test, security review, partner pilot, or embargoed preview in the future. Any confidentiality requirement for such a program must be presented separately and will not arise merely because you use the publicly downloadable Beta Service.

9. Monitoring, diagnostics, and privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how TymeLyne processes information. The Beta Service may generate additional diagnostics reasonably needed to test, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Beta Service, such as app version, device and operating-system details, feature flags, performance events, crash information, network status, timestamps, interaction events, and technical logs.

TymeLyne may review Beta Service activity and reports to investigate defects, abuse, security incidents, policy violations, and product performance. We do not promise to monitor every interaction. Where a separate beta notice describes additional processing, that notice forms part of these Beta Terms.

10. App stores, third-party services, and costs

The Beta Service is distributed through Apple’s App Store and/or Google Play in selected countries. Store availability, downloads, updates, compatibility, age ratings, account access, and removals may also be governed by the applicable store’s terms and technical systems.

The Beta Service may rely on authentication providers, hosting, storage, notifications, weather, GIF, analytics, crash-reporting, or other third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices may apply independently. TymeLyne does not control independent third-party services.

You are responsible for device, mobile-data, internet, roaming, electricity, app-store, and other charges associated with use. Unless TymeLyne expressly agrees otherwise in writing, those costs will not be reimbursed.

11. Support and service commitments

TymeLyne may offer limited beta support but does not promise a particular response or repair time. Reports may be prioritized according to severity, user safety, security risk, reproducibility, test objectives, and available startup resources.

The Beta Service does not include a service-level agreement, guaranteed uptime, data-recovery commitment, guaranteed compatibility, or obligation to continue supporting a build, feature, account, device, or region, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Availability, suspension, and the end of public beta

TymeLyne may limit, suspend, or end your Beta Service access if you breach these Beta Terms or the Main Policies; create safety, security, legal, operational, or reputational risk; misuse the Service; fail eligibility requirements; or if the public beta changes or ends. We may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary.

You may stop using the public beta at any time by uninstalling the application. Stopping beta use does not automatically delete your TymeLyne account; use the account-deletion controls described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use if you want deletion.

TymeLyne may replace the beta with a stable release, require an update, remove a country or device from availability, discontinue a build, or end the public beta. Older builds may stop functioning. Sections concerning feedback, intellectual property, retained data, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and provisions that by their nature should continue will survive.

13. Beta disclaimers

Nothing in these Beta Terms excludes warranties, remedies, consumer guarantees, or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Subject to those rights, the Beta Service is provided “as is,” “as available,” and “with all faults.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TymeLyne does not promise that the Beta Service will be safe, secure, accurate, complete, compatible, uninterrupted, error-free, recoverable, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that defects will be identified or corrected. You assume the risks inherent in using unfinished software and should not rely on it for emergencies, health, legal, financial, business-critical, safety-critical, or records-preservation purposes.

14. Liability

The disclaimers, exclusions, liability limitations, indemnity provisions, and non-waivable-right protections in the Terms of Use apply to the Beta Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TymeLyne is not responsible for loss caused by beta defects, resets, interruptions, incompatibility, data corruption or loss, discontinued features, third-party services, or your failure to keep independent backups.

15. Changes to these Beta Terms

TymeLyne may update these Beta Terms as testing, risks, features, or laws change. We will revise the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where appropriate or legally required. Continued use after updated Beta Terms take effect means you accept them, unless applicable law requires express consent. If you do not agree, stop using the Beta Service.

16. Governing terms and contact

The governing-law, dispute-resolution, notices, severability, assignment, waiver, and other general provisions in the Terms of Use apply to these Beta Terms.
