Welcome to TymeLyne. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, how long we keep it, and the controls and rights available to you when you use the TymeLyne mobile application, website, beta builds, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
TymeLyne is a private social network built for sharing Daily Updates with chosen audiences and preserving selected moments as Timeline memories. Daily Updates are designed to expire after 24 hours unless saved to Timeline. Timeline memories remain until you delete them or delete your account, subject to the limited retention exceptions explained below.
1. Who this Policy applies to
This Policy applies to account holders, website visitors, beta testers, people who contact support, and people whose information may appear in content uploaded by a TymeLyne user. “TymeLyne,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the TymeLyne Services.
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it separately and you may withdraw it as described below. This Policy does not replace any just-in-time notice shown when a specific feature requests sensitive information or a device permission.
2. Privacy at a glance
- Audience control. You choose whether supported content is shared with your Circle, Followers, both, or only you. Account-level public/private controls may also affect who can follow you and access your profile.
- Private social graph. TymeLyne’s current design does not publicly expose complete Circle, Followers, or Following lists.
- Private interactions. Likes, reactions, responses, comments, and similar interactions are designed to be visible only to the people involved and/or the post owner, depending on the feature.
- No public popularity scoreboard. TymeLyne’s current design does not publicly display total follower, like, response, or reaction counts as a ranking system.
- Deletion by default for Daily Updates. Daily Updates expire after 24 hours unless saved to Timeline.
- No data sale, third-party targeted advertising, or generative-AI training. We do not use your personal information for those purposes.
3. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the Services, information received from sign-in providers and other people, and additional information only when you grant permission.
3.1 Account and authentication information
- Account details. Email address, account identifier, authentication method, email verification status, account creation time, and related login/session information.
- Credentials. If you create an email/password account, the authentication provider processes your password and related verification codes. TymeLyne does not need to store or view your password in plain text.
- Third-party sign-in. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive information permitted by that provider, such as an account identifier, email address, and, where you choose to provide it, your name.
- Age information. Date of birth is collected during onboarding to calculate age, apply age requirements, support birthday-related features, and help protect younger users.
3.2 Profile, Wiki, and relationship information
- Required profile information. First name, optional last name, username, and account privacy setting.
- Optional profile information. Profile photo, nickname, country, current location, life phase, profession, quote, “about me” text, external links, relationship or partner details, and other Wiki information you choose to add.
- Social graph. Circle, Followers, Following, network requests, acceptance status, relationship changes, blocks, removals, and related timestamps.
3.3 Content and communications
We process content you create, upload, save, share, edit, react to, report, or delete. This may include photos, videos, audio, notes, captions, moods, music or entertainment references, links, weather posts, location labels, GIFs, carousels, Timeline memories, Wiki entries, tags, reposts, reactions, likes, responses, comments, all types of post and associated metadata such as creation time, selected audience, post type, edits, views, and interaction status.
Content may reveal sensitive information about you or other people, including health, religion, political views, sexuality, relationships, or precise whereabouts. TymeLyne does not require you to include this information. Please share it only when appropriate and when you have the right and consent to include information about other people.
3.4 Device, technical, and usage information
- Device and app data. Device type, operating system, app version, language, network connection, IP address, timestamps, unique service or device tokens, and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the Services.
- Usage data. Screens or features used, actions taken, content and accounts interacted with, notification status, error events, and performance information.
- Push-notification data. Firebase Cloud Messaging token, user identifier, device platform, notification preferences, delivery/open status where available, and subscriptions used to send requested notifications.
- Crash, performance, and analytics data. Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, Firebase Analytics, or comparable tools may process device, app, crash, performance, and usage data so we can diagnose failures and improve the Services. We will keep app-store disclosures consistent with the tools actually enabled.
3.5 Information accessed with your device permission
- Camera. To capture photos, videos, GIFs, profile images, or other content.
- Photos or gallery. To select, upload, edit, or save media you choose.
- Microphone. To record audio and video with sound.
- Location while using the app. To request current weather and optionally attach weather or location context to content. If location permission is already granted, TymeLyne may also perform a non-interactive weather lookup while you use Media Bank so captured media can retain weather metadata. Coordinates may be sent through a TymeLyne server function to a weather-data provider. We do not request background-location permission for these features.
- Notifications. To send account, social, content, safety, and feature notifications you enable.
You can deny or later change device permissions in your operating-system settings. Some features will not work without the permission they require. Permission status itself may be read so TymeLyne can explain whether a feature is available.
3.6 Information from other people and organizations
- Other users. Information about you may appear in another user’s content, tags, responses, reports, block lists, network requests, or support communications.
- Authentication providers. Apple and Google provide account information when you use their sign-in services.
- Safety, legal, and security sources. We may receive information from users, rights holders, law enforcement, regulators, security researchers, or service providers about suspected abuse, fraud, infringement, unlawful activity, or security incidents.
3.7 Website information
The current TymeLyne website does not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral tracking. Our website host, content-delivery provider, or security provider may automatically process basic request logs such as IP address, browser/device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security events. If we later add analytics or non-essential cookies, we will update the website notice and obtain consent where required.
4. How we use information
- Provide the Services. Create and authenticate accounts; display profiles; store and deliver content; apply audience choices; operate Circle, Followers, Following, Timeline, Wiki, reactions, responses, notifications, search, recommendations, weather, and related features.
- Apply privacy and safety controls. Enforce account privacy, audience settings, blocking, reporting, content deletion, deactivation, age rules, and access restrictions.
- Communicate with you. Send verification codes, security alerts, service notices, notifications you request, policy updates, and replies to support or privacy requests.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve. Monitor reliability, repair errors, understand feature performance and aggregate usage, improve accessibility, and develop new features.
- Protect TymeLyne and its community. Detect spam, fraud, account compromise, harmful behavior, policy violations, and unlawful activity; investigate reports; preserve evidence; and protect rights, safety, and property.
- Meet legal obligations. Respond to valid legal process, enforce our agreements and policies, keep required records, resolve disputes, and exercise or defend legal claims.
- Other purposes you approve. Use information for a new or materially different purpose only after providing appropriate notice and obtaining consent where required.
5. Legal bases for processing
Depending on your location and the purpose, we rely on one or more lawful grounds: performance of our contract with you; your consent; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Services; compliance with legal obligations; protection of vital interests; and other grounds or legitimate uses permitted by applicable law.
For optional device permissions—especially location, camera, photos, microphone, and notifications—we rely on your choice to grant permission and, where required, your consent. You may withdraw consent or disable a permission, but doing so does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
6. How we disclose or share information
We disclose information only as needed to provide the Services, follow your choices, use trusted service providers, protect the community, or comply with law. We do not sell personal information.
- With the audience you choose. Your profile and content are shared according to your account privacy, relationship, and content-audience settings. Some identity information, such as your name, username, and profile photo, may be visible to help people identify or search for you.
- With people involved in an interaction. Post owners and participants may see relevant likes, reactions, responses, comments, views, reposts, or moderation actions, depending on the feature.
- With service providers. We use companies that provide hosting, authentication, database, storage, server functions, content delivery, notifications, email delivery, weather data, crash reporting, performance monitoring, analytics, security, and support. They may process information only to provide their services to us and subject to applicable safeguards.
- At your direction. We share information when you use a feature that sends content outside TymeLyne, connects another service, or otherwise directs us to disclose it.
- For legal, safety, and security reasons. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or valid process; investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or policy violations; protect a person from harm; or protect our rights and property.
- During a business transaction. If TymeLyne is involved in financing, due diligence, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, or insolvency, information may be disclosed or transferred subject to confidentiality and applicable notice requirements.
- Aggregated or de-identified information. We may share statistics or information that does not reasonably identify an individual, and we will not attempt to re-identify it except to test our de-identification safeguards or as permitted by law.
7. Key service providers and platforms
- Supabase. Authentication, user accounts, PostgreSQL database, storage, server/edge functions, and related backend infrastructure.
- Google Firebase. Push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging and, if enabled, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and analytics.
- Apple and Google. Sign-in services and distribution through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Weather-data provider. Current coordinates are used when you request weather features and may be transmitted through our server-side function to obtain current weather information.
- Website hosting and content delivery. Providers that host and secure the public TymeLyne website.
These providers maintain their own privacy and security terms. The exact providers and features may change as the beta evolves; we will update this Policy when a change materially affects your information. Please read their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use too.
8. Your content, audience choices, and other users
Privacy controls reduce exposure but cannot prevent a recipient from taking a screenshot, screen recording, photograph, download, copy, or further sharing content outside TymeLyne. Share only with people you trust and only content you are comfortable allowing the selected audience to see.
If you include another person’s information, image, voice, or private circumstances, you are responsible for having the right to do so. Removing your content from TymeLyne may not remove copies already made by another person, information that another user independently posted, or content we must preserve for safety or legal reasons.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described in this Policy, to provide the Services, honor your choices, protect users, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention depends on the information and features.
- Daily Updates. Daily Updates are designed to stop being available through the active Service after 24 hours unless you save them to Timeline. Deletion may take a reasonable amount of processing time, and restricted copies may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, legal holds, or abuse evidence.
- Timeline memories and Wiki content. Kept until you delete the content, remove the relevant field, or delete your account, unless a limited exception applies.
- Account and profile information. Kept while your account is active. A deactivated account and its content are retained so the account can be restored when you sign in again.
- Deleted accounts. We begin permanent account deletion through the in-app deletion flow or a verified support request and complete it without undue delay and within applicable legal time limits. We may retain limited information when required for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement, or backup integrity. Retained data is restricted from ordinary product use.
- Social and interaction records. Kept while needed to deliver the relevant feature. Blocking, report, and safety records may be kept longer to prevent repeat abuse and protect the community.
- Push tokens. Kept while associated with a signed-in device or notification subscription and removed or replaced when you log out, disable the relevant service, the token expires, or the account is deleted.
- Support, privacy, and legal records. Kept for as long as needed to answer the request, document our response, meet legal obligations, and protect legal rights.
- Aggregated or de-identified information. May be kept longer because it no longer reasonably identifies you.
10. Your controls and choices
- Access and update. Review and edit available account, profile, Wiki, privacy, and notification settings in the app.
- Choose your audience. Select the supported audience for content and change your public/private account setting.
- Delete content. Delete supported posts, Timeline memories, Wiki information, responses, reactions, and other content through the app where that control is available.
- Deactivate or delete your account. Deactivation hides your account while retaining it for reactivation. Permanent deletion is available in the app.
- Manage permissions. Change camera, photos, microphone, location, and notification permissions in device settings.
- Manage communications. Disable optional push-notification categories in TymeLyne settings or device settings. Service and security messages may still be sent when necessary.
- Block and report. Use in-app controls to block accounts or report content, profiles, or behavior.
- Exercise privacy rights. Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or a portable copy where applicable by contacting us. Some information can be handled directly in the app.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including when necessary to protect another person, preserve security, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations. We will explain the reason where the law requires.
11. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including encrypted network transmission, authentication, access controls, permission restrictions, service monitoring, and trusted infrastructure providers. Access to personal information is limited to people and providers who need it for an authorized purpose.
No service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and credentials, use a strong unique password, do not share verification codes, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. If a personal-data breach requires notification under applicable law, we will notify affected people and authorities as required.
12. International data transfers
TymeLyne is operated from India and uses service providers that may store or process information in India, the United States, or other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws different from your own. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, or other lawful safeguards for international transfers and follow government restrictions applicable to cross-border processing.
13. Children and teenagers
TymeLyne is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 and must also meet any higher minimum age or parental-consent requirement that applies where you live.
- Australia. If TymeLyne is treated as an age-restricted social-media platform under Australian law, you must be at least 16 to create or keep an account in Australia.
- India. If you are under 18, do not create an account unless TymeLyne has made a legally compliant parent or guardian consent process available to you and the required consent has been obtained. If no such process is available, the minimum age for use in India is 18.
- Other locations. If local law requires consent from a parent or guardian at an age above 13, you may use TymeLyne only after the required consent is validly obtained through a process we support.
If we learn that an account was created below the applicable age or without required consent, we may restrict, suspend, or delete the account and associated information. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child’s information. We do not sell minors’ personal information, use it for third-party targeted advertising, or use private content to train generative-AI models.
14. Region-specific privacy rights
Privacy rights vary by location. The following summary applies only where the relevant law covers TymeLyne and your request. You may exercise rights without unlawful discrimination.
14.1 India
Where applicable under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection framework, you may request information about personal data processing, correction or completion, erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination of another person to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity. You may withdraw consent as easily as it was given, subject to lawful processing already completed and processing permitted without consent.
14.2 United Kingdom and European Economic Area
Where UK or EU data-protection law applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, receive portable data, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. TymeLyne does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.
14.3 United States
Residents of certain states may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to appeal a denied request. TymeLyne does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not process personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
14.4 Canada, Australia, Japan, and other locations
You may have rights to access and correct personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, and complain to TymeLyne or a privacy regulator. We will respond according to the law that applies to your request.
15. Automated tools and artificial intelligence
We may use automated tools to identify technical errors, spam, suspicious activity, or possible policy violations and to support feature operation. Significant enforcement decisions may involve additional review where appropriate.
We do not use your private content or personal information to train generative-AI models. If TymeLyne introduces an AI feature that processes personal information in a materially different way, we will provide a feature-specific notice and obtain consent where required before that processing begins.
16. Third-party services and links
The Services may contain links to external websites or allow you to use Apple, Google, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review those notices before providing information. TymeLyne is not responsible for an independent third party’s privacy practices.
17. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Services, providers, or laws change. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, when a change is material, provide additional notice through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method. Where required, we will obtain consent before applying a materially different use to information already collected.
18. Contact us and grievance redressal

Contractual disputes and your legal rights. Contractual disputes relating to the Services are handled under the dispute-resolution provisions in the TymeLyne Terms of Use. Those provisions do not limit any non-waivable right to contact a privacy, data-protection, consumer-protection, or other regulator; lodge a complaint with a competent authority; or seek an administrative or judicial remedy available under applicable law.
